After a polite but strong message from one of the neighbours I came to the conclusion that big loud tube amps can get a little inconvenient. After some internet sleuthing I found a popular DIY project, known as the Ruby amplifier. A .5watt IC based amplifier that would comfortably drive speakers without shaking the walls of my shared domicile. Hence the Loudenerer came to be.
With volume, gain and dirt controls this is a simple solution to a very very specific problem.
