Five words mate - Party. Mix. Dual. FX. Sonic-er. Does it make sense, sure why not? I’ve been making a lot of music lately and the majority of it has a less guitar than I’m used to. To compensate I’ve found myself falling for a massive big bass sound. Think Type-O Negative, Muse or Dinosaur Jr. Hence the idea of this confusingly named pedal.
On the orange side is a recreation of a vintage 70’s Boss DS-1 with added blend control to deter the crazy low-end roll off in the original circuit. This turns a tame bass into a fizzy, huge mid-range sounding distortion machine that unapologetically takes up a massive chunk of the frequency spectrum.
On the blue side is a wild chorus with selectable bitrates and dry/wet switch. On their own a bass sound is gonna sound BIG through it.
Together the two effects create a colossally big bass sound that’ll make any guitar player wet their pants through sheer intimidation.
